NJSC NAFTOGAZ UKRAINY

National Joint Stock Company Naftogaz Ukrainy is a leading company in fuel and energy complex of Ukraine, one of the country's largest companies.

NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy provides transportation of oil and natural gas via oil and gas main pipelines system (in particular, transit of Russian natural gas, Russian and Kazakh oil to third countries), gas metering, processing of gas and gas condensate at gas processing plants, gas supply to customers in Ukraine, sales of compressed and liquefied gas and oil products via chains of refueling stations and automotive gas filling compressor stations; performs exploration of oil and gas, drilling of production wells, development of fields, and is engaged in scientific support of oil and gas industry development.

Business Areas of NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy:

Gas and Oil Transportation

Gas transportation system operated by Ukrtransgaz, a subsidiary of NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy, provides transportation of gas to Ukrainian customers and transit of most Russian gas export resources to customers in Europe. Ukraine's gas transportation system comprises 37.800 km gas pipelines, 73 compressor stations and 13 natural gas underground storage facilities.

Oil transportation in Ukraine is provided by JSC Ukrtransnafta, a company of NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy. Oil pipeline system of Ukraine has 4.700 km oil pipelines and 51 oil pumping stations.

Gas Metering

NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy provides metering of natural gas transported across the territory of Ukraine using its gas metering stations network. In addition, consumption metering systems are installed at 1465 gas distribution stations (GDS), which pump natural gas from the gas transportation system to the gas distribution network.

Exploration and Drilling

With a view to increasing oil and gas production, NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy companies are engaged in intensive geological exploration. Over 90% of the total cost of geological exploration operations is financed by NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy out of own funds.

Production of Gas, Oil, and Condensate

NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy provides development of oil, gas, gas condensate, oil and gas condensate fields onshore and the shelf zone of Black Sea and Azov Sea. Currently, 225 fields are under commercial and trial commercial production.

Production of gas, gas condensate, and oil is provided by Ukrgazvydobuvannya, a subsidiary of NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy, JSC Ukrnafta and NJSC Chornomornaftogaz.

Processing of Gas and Gas Condensate

Processing of natural gas and gas condensate is provided by 5 gas processing plants of NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy: Shebelinka, Yabluneve, Gnidetznevsk, Kachaniv and Dolyna.

Sales of Gas, Oil and Gas Processing Products

Sales of natural and liquefied gas in the territory of Ukraine to individuals, housing utility companies, budget-financed organizations, industrial customers, power generating companies are provided by Gas Ukrainy, a subsidiary of NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy. Sales of oil and gas processing products by NJSC companies are provided via refueling station chains.

Participation in International Projects

The Company extensively participates in international projects of hydrocarbon resources development and projects of development й operation efficiency improvement of oil and gas transportation systems. NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy actively co-operates with international financial and energy organizations.

ROSUKRENERGO AG

ROSUKRENERGO AG (Switzerland) is one of the largest traders in natural gas markets worldwide, operating in European and Central Asian regions.

ROSUKRENERGO AG was founded as a result of the amendments made to the supply terms of Central Asian natural gas to Ukraine. A situation that all exports of Turkmen gas were contracted by LLC Gazexport required an operator capable of assuring uninterrupted gas supply from Central Asia countries to Ukraine. Formation of such operator company was provided for the package of documents signed by and between JSC Gazprom and NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy on 29 July 2004. They determine the terms of cooperation between business entities of Russia and Ukraine in the area of supply and transit of natural gas. ROSUKRENERGO AG specializes in transit operations with natural gas, supply of Central Asian й Russian gas to Ukraine, countries of Central and Eastern Europe. At the moment, ROSUKRENERGO AG, on the one hand, acts as a guarantor of gas supply to Ukraine at the prices acceptable to the national economy and on the other hand, provides a financial guarantee that JSC Gazprom receives payment for gas supplied to Ukraine.

In 2007, in compliance with the Agreement with UKRGAZ-ENERGO made and entered into in October, ROSUKRENERGO AG will supply to Ukraine at least 55 bln. m³ of Central Asian natural gas at a price of $130 per 1000 m³.

UKRGAZ-ENERGO is owned on a parity basis by JSC Gazprom and Centragas Holding AG.
